Carbon

The Carbon is Ugly Stik's 100% graphite branch, sold as the lightweight, more sensitive option in a brand long associated with fiberglass-blend toughness. Most Ugly Stik lines use a graphite-glass composite for durability at the cost of some sensitivity. Carbon drops the fiberglass to chase weight and feel, while keeping the brand's signature solid graphite tip for shock absorption. It is the lightest Ugly Stik configuration sold. Blanks are 100% 24-ton graphite using Ugly Stik's Ugly Tech construction.

The tip section is solid graphite, which preserves the bend-without-breaking behavior Ugly Stik is known for. Guides are one-piece stainless steel Ugly Tuff models with no inserts, so there is nothing to pop out under braid. Reel seats are Fuji soft-touch, handles are split grip in cork or EVA. A 10-year limited warranty covers the line. The Carbon family spans about 74 models across multiple sub-products: Carbon Spinning and Carbon Casting in 5'4" to 7'6" lengths for general freshwater and bass work, Carbon Inshore in 7' to 7'6" for saltwater redfish and snook, Carbon Walleye and Carbon Crappie for technique-specific freshwater, and longer 8' to 12' variants for surf and bigwater.

Powers run UL through H, with the longest spinning rods extending to 12' for surf casting. Pricing is roughly $100 across most variants, slightly higher for the specialized Walleye and Inshore versions.
