The 13 Fishing Muse Black Heavy Duty Line Up is a three-rod casting series specialized for power applications that demand both a stiff, load-bearing blank and above-average sensitivity, specifically swimbaits, A-rigs, punching through heavy cover, and similar heavy-payload presentations. It sits in the upper end of the Muse Black platform, distinguished from the standard Muse Black by the HD (Heavy Duty) designation and heavier power ratings. Blanks are constructed from 36-ton Poly-Vector Graphite (PVG36T), a layered carbon construction that gives anglers high stiffness-to-weight ratio.
The Evolve Airfoil Carbon reel seat transmits energy directly to the palm instead of through a traditional hood assembly, contributing to the series' sensitivity profile at these higher power levels. High-density EVA grips are used instead of cork. Zonal Action Technology (ZAT) governs the taper, providing a progressive fast tip over a firm mid-section and substantial backbone. All three rods are casting-only configuration ranging from 7'9" to 8'0" in H and XH power, with uniform F action and identical line (14–25 lb) and lure (3/8–2 oz) ratings for all three models, separated by length and peak power.
