The Myth Spinning is 13 Fishing's mid-to-upper-tier freshwater bass spinning series, positioned for tournament and serious recreational anglers running finesse and moderate-power spinning techniques. The PVG40T Japanese blank and Zonal Action Technology pairing addresses a common spinning complaint: too much tip softness on lighter-power models while maintaining enough backbone for a clean hookset. Blanks are Japanese PVG40T graphite, a mid-to-high modulus material common in premium production rods at this price tier.

Zonal Action Technology refers to the blank's designed flex transition point, providing a crisp tip-to-mid transition suited to detecting soft bottom bites. Fuji Stainless Steel K-Frame guides with Alconite inserts run throughout for line management on finesse setups. Evolve Custom Reel Seat with soft-touch finish aids sensitivity transmission. Split grip with premium Portuguese 4A cork and Japanese EVA is the handle spec. Priced at $199.99 with a 5-year warranty. Six spinning models from 6'9" to 7'4" in ML and M power with F action, plus one MH XF model.

The 6'9" and 6'10" shorter models favor dock fishing and tight presentations; the 7'1" and 7'4" models improve casting distance and are suited to open-water finesse. The MYTS71MH-X-F is the outlier, XF (extra fast) action and MH power address wacky rigs, larger ned heads, or finesse swimbaits where a faster tip response is needed.

A closer look at notable models.

MYTS71MH-X-F Spinning · 7'1" · MH · XF action

The one outlier in the series, XF action with MH power on a spinning rod. Serves situations where faster tip recovery matters: wacky rig hooksets, finesse swimbaits, and larger ned-style heads where the slower F action of sibling models loses energy on the set.

MYTS74M-F Spinning · 7'4" · M · F action

Longest model at standard M power. The 7'4" length maximizes casting range for drop shot in open water or wind-affected conditions. Lighter line ceiling (4–10 lb) despite M power is notable, use with lighter fluorocarbon or finesse braid only.
