The 13 Fishing Oath Crank Rod is a purpose-specific freshwater crankbait casting series tuned for treble-hook lure fishing for bass. A moderate (crank) action is the key feature. The blank loads through the mid-section during casts, cushions hooksets to prevent pulling hooks, and loads during the fight to reduce the leveraged forces that pop treble hooks free. Blanks are Japanese PVG36T graphite with a Cross Carbon Overlay on the crank models, balancing weight reduction with enough dampening mass to assist lure deflection and feel.
Components include Evolve Stainless Steel Tangle-Free guides with Alconite inserts, an Evolve custom reel seat with soft-touch finish, and a split-grip design using Portuguese 3A cork and premium Japanese EVA.
