Daiwa's North Coast SS is a salmon, steelhead, and trout rod family based on West Coast river and Great Lakes tributary techniques. The lineup spans 28 models, including spinning, conventional drift, kokanee, mooching, and downrigger configurations from 7'6" up to 10'6". Blanks are IM7 graphite in two-piece construction, paired with titanium oxide ring guides and natural cork handles.
Tips are dipped in fluorescent orange paint for visual strike detection. A limited one-year warranty backs the series. Model prefixes denote intended use: NC covers general drift and float work, NCD is set up for downrigger trolling, NCM is the mooching rod, NCK is the kokanee troller, and NCSD is the spinning side-drifting platform.
Lengths and actions are matched to bait drift, plug pulling, float fishing, and trolling presentations.
