Tatula Bass 1
Technique-specific bass casting and spinning rods built on SVF graphite with X45 bias wrap.
The Tatula Bass is Daiwa's technique-specific bass rod series, organized around 28 model designations that pair length, power, and action with a defined application. Blanks use SVF (Super Volume Fiber) graphite with the X45 bias wrap, layering carbon at crossing 45-degree angles to limit blank twist under load and during the cast.
Two Glatech fiberglass models cover crankbait work. Components include Fuji O-concept guides with deep-pressed aluminum oxide rings sized for braid-to-leader connections, a custom Tatula reel seat with a locking nut, and premium cork grips. Suffixes in the model code identify the build: -SB swimbait, -G glass, -B casting, -S spinning.
The casting lineup spans jerkbait, crankbait, jig, Texas rig, flipping, frog, and swimbait builds. Spinning models cover finesse, dropshot, ned, and shaky head work. MSRP runs around $179.99 per rod.
Shaded band: the spread of the lineup's 28 models, as percentile rank among same-type rods. Solid line = series median · dashed ring = catalog median.
