EC2.5 Salmon/Steelhead

Mid-tier salmon and steelhead rod series covering both drift/float spinning presentations and downrigger or planer-board trolling. Serves Great Lakes and Pacific Northwest river anglers who need specialized tools at an accessible price. Spinning models use 30-ton graphite 2-piece blanks with moderate action and a non-reflective midnight black finish. Trolling models use fiberglass 2-piece blanks with slow to moderate actions suited to absorbing surges and maintaining hook pressure during long trolling runs.

Premium Seaguide guides are fitted throughout for tangle resistance and smooth line flow. Full cork handles on spinning models provide grip in wet conditions. Construction is functional instead of premium, components and materials reflect the mid-market price point. Seven models total: four spinning (8'6" MH through 10'6" ML) and three trolling (7'6" ML through 10' H). Spinning models cover ML to MH power in 8'6"–10'6" lengths for river presentations.

The trolling sub-lineup spans 7'6" to 10' with ML, MH, and H power ratings, the 10' H model is the stoutest, suited to wire line or heavy diver setups. Slow-action trolling blanks are purpose-distinct from the moderate-action spinning models.
