The EC3.5 is Eagle Claw's technique-focused graphite series built on the X5 blank, which uses five interwoven layers of Japanese Toray graphite sheeting cured with nano-resin. The brand rates the construction as roughly 20% lighter and 50% stronger than comparable graphite, with tapers tuned per model length and power.

Components include semi-micro Sea Guide XO HG tangle-free guides, a soft-touch reel seat, and a hybrid handle that combines Grade A cork with high-density EVA. The lineup spans 6'3" to 7'9" in spinning and casting, with Fast and Extra Fast actions covering finesse to heavy cover work.
