Granger Ocean

The Granger Ocean is an entry-level saltwater casting rod series from Eagle Claw, positioned for anglers made for inshore or nearshore species with conventional tackle. At its price point it serves the budget-conscious angler who needs a dedicated ocean rod without moving into premium construction. The rod handles mid-weight saltwater presentations including live bait, cut bait, and lures in the 1/2–2 oz range from piers, jetties, or skiffs.

Construction uses a fiberglass blank, which provides durability in the corrosive saltwater environment and a forgiving bend under the load of heavier fish. EVA foam handles resist salt and moisture better than cork in wet conditions. Aluminum oxide guides and a graphite reel seat keep the build functional without adding cost. The slick butt is designed to ride in a rod holder, a practical detail for bottom-fishing applications.

The lineup is a single rod: the GOII501-7, a 7' one-piece casting rod rated Medium Heavy power, line 10–25 lb, lure 1/2–2 oz, with 5 guides plus tip. No length or power variants are documented. The series appears discontinued by Eagle Claw but remains available through existing retail stock.
