MGH

The Huerco MGH (Micro Game High) is a single-model 6-piece travel spinning rod based on the concept of maximizing the playing experience with micro-class saltwater fish, specifically fish in the 15 cm range such as mebare (rockfish) and small saba (mackerel). At 9 feet with a fast taper and carbon solid tip, it is designed to telegraph the weight and pull of small fish while collapsing to 50.4 cm for airline carry-on transport.

The blank combines a carbon body with a solid-tip section and sealed ferrule joints intended to preserve action continuity across the 6-piece assembly. Guides use stainless steel frames with SiC rings, selected to minimize guide buildup and maintain performance in low-light saltwater conditions. The rod is rated for PE line #0.3–0.8 and lures 1–9 g, placing it in the UL/finesse category for salt.

At 9'0" in a single 6-piece model, there is no power or length tiering within this series. The MGH is a niche, specialized travel rod sold as a premium offering from Huerco's micro-game category.
