The Lamiglas G1000 Pro is a salmon and steelhead series with roots going back to 1974. The current generation retains the original tapers while updating components and finish. Lamiglas builds the rods in the United States and serves the West Coast salmon and steelhead market, covering drift fishing, hardware casting, float fishing, side-drifting, mooching, jig fishing, and Skagit-style two-handed presentations.
Blanks use a proprietary blend of high fiber density 24-ton IM7 carbon graphite. Spinning models carry Fuji double-locking reel seats; casting models pair Fuji reel seats with single-foot guides for line management. Cork grips run the full length of the handle. Cosmetics include a polished graphite finish with blue trim. The 20-rod lineup spans 7'6" to 11'6" with lengths and actions matched to specific techniques.
The GP prefix codes encode length, power, and configuration; suffix tags identify mooching (MT, MS), jig (J), and Skagit master (MLSM) variants. Line ratings range from 4-10 lb on light spinning models to 12-30 lb on the heavy casting rods used for kings. Lamiglas backs the series with a limited lifetime warranty.
