The Lamiglas Tri-Flex Inshore V2 is a mid-to-upper-tier inshore and light nearshore saltwater series positioned above the Black Inshore in the Lamiglas lineup. It serves Northeast and Southeast coastal anglers fishing for striped bass, bluefish, false albacore, redfish, snook, tarpon, fluke, and tautog. The V2 designation indicates a revised version of the original Tri-Flex Inshore, with upgraded hardware throughout. Retail around $299. Blanks are a two-parts-graphite, one-part-fiberglass composite (Tri-Flex construction), the fiberglass component adds durability and load-absorbing flex under sustained pressure, tempering the brittleness of a pure graphite blank.
Tip section is notably sensitive while the butt carries a reserve of fiberglass toughness. Fuji Corrosion Control guide frames (7x more corrosion resistance than standard stainless per manufacturer claims) are the standout hardware upgrade over the original Tri-Flex. CFX Carbon Fiber Composite grips, carbon-infused foam with higher density than standard EVA, claimed lighter and stronger. Fuji reel seats. The 10-rod lineup splits 6 casting and 4 spinning, lengths spanning 6'8" to 7'6" (some models not explicitly listing length in the batch data).
Power runs L through XH; the heaviest model (TFXV7650C, XH, 20-50lb, 6-16oz) represents a serious striper live-bait or heavy plug application. The lightest (TFXV6815CT, L, 8-15lb) handles lighter inshore lures. Spinning tops out at H power (TFXV7640S, 15-40lb). Most models are F action, with a few MF for moderately softer tip work.
Deeper Dive
A closer look at notable models.
The lightest casting model; MF action and L power suit lighter inshore lures, small jigs, light soft plastics for trout or smaller redfish. The MF action is softer than most of the lineup's F-action models.
Heaviest spinning model at 15-40lb; the H power and F action handle large live baits or heavy jigs for snook, tarpon, or trophy redfish on spinning gear, a heavy-duty configuration for a spinning rod.
The heaviest model in the series, 6-16oz lure range and 20-50lb line puts this in heavy live-eel striper fishing, large surface plug, or heavy-duty nearshore bait application territory. Outlier compared to the rest of the lineup.
