The Infinity Salmon & Steelhead is Lamiglas' broadest USA-made multi-technique salmon and steelhead lineup. Thirteen models cover the full range of PNW and Great Lakes techniques: drift fishing, back-bouncing, float/bobber-dogging, spinner and spoon casting, and jig twitching. The series suits anglers who want a single premium rod family instead of multiple specialty lines. Blanks are polished high-modulus graphite, handcrafted at the Lamiglas facility in Woodland, Washington.
Hardware includes Fuji Titanium guides, corrosion-resistant and lightweight, and a Fuji reel seat. Handles are graphite composite with green accent wraps; 1-piece and 2-piece configurations are both present. MSRP is $410–$419 across the lineup. Limited Lifetime Warranty. The 13 models span 7'10"–10'6" in both spinning and casting (conventional) configurations. The 9' and 9'2" models in M and MH fast action form the core river-fishing range.
The 9'8" moderate-action models (ISS98JS/JC) are specialized for jig presentation. The 10'6" spinning and casting rods are the longest-reach float rods. The compact 7'10" (ISS710MHC) is the back-bouncing specialist. Light-power moderate-action models (ISS96LS, ISS106MLS) handle finesse float work with 6–12 lb mono.
Deeper Dive
A closer look at notable models.
Compact 1-piece back-bouncer. The 7'10" length and MH fast blank keep the rod manageable in a boat while handling 1/2–6 oz bottom rigs for chinook in heavy current. Wide lure range accommodates large roe bags and heavy spinners.
Light-power moderate-action float rod for finesse steelhead presentations on smaller rivers. Handles 6–10 lb mono or fluorocarbon with small bobbers and yarn/bead rigs. Pairs with smaller centerpin or light spinning reels.
Note: lineup lists this as 7'9" but Lamiglas product page shows ISS79MTS at 7'9" and 1-piece. A 1-piece medium-fast spinning rod sized for twitching jigs and small spinners in tighter water. Finesse end of the casting-only back-bouncer range.
Moderate action jig rod paired with the ISS98JS spinning counterpart. The softer tip loads well on light jigs and allows steelhead to fully take the bait before hookset, a recognized preference among coastal jig anglers.
Longest conventional rod in the lineup, designed for long-line float control and mending on large rivers. Mod-fast action balances float detection sensitivity with enough backbone to set hooks at distance on 10–20 lb line.
Longest spinning rod in the series and the lightest power at 10'6". Moderate action and ML blank favor finesse float techniques, small jigs and beads under bobbers, on big open water where casting distance and line mending matter.
