Target angler fishes guided or DIY Alaska king salmon trips and needs rod authority to turn fish in heavy current. Built on the G1000 Pro graphite platform, which Lamiglas has produced since 1974 and has an established track record in Pacific Northwest salmon/steelhead fishing.

Alaska Edition adds reinforced blanks compared to standard G1000 Pro, with extended cork handles for two-hand leverage and double-footed guides throughout for durability against saltwater spray and rough handling. Four models: three casting (GP86HC-AK H/F 8'6", GP86XHC-AK XH/F 8'6" for 20-40lb line, GP90HC-AK H/F 9') and one spinning (GP86HS-AK H/F 8'6").

The XH casting model is the heavy anchor for giant kings or lure weights up to 3 oz; the two H casting models split between compact boat fishing and the longer 9' for more leverage from shore or in deeper drift boats.
