The Lamiglas Insane Surf (LIS) series is built for surf casting from beaches and rocky shorelines along the US coast. Target species include striped bass, bluefish, redfish, and flounder. The series covers both bait-fishing situations (chunk bait on the sand) and lure work (plugs, metal jigs, swimbaits) without demanding separate rods, making it a practical option for anglers who fish varied surf conditions. Blanks are 2-piece, 24-ton IM6 high-fiber-density graphite with a slow-coated finish.
The moderate-fast action provides a loading flex useful for heavy surf casting while retaining enough tip response for lure work. SeaGuide K-frame stainless guides with deep-pressed ceramic rings handle wet conditions and braided line. Grips use X-Flock material paired with a double-locking Fuji DPS reel seat. Construction is US-engineered, with a 1-year warranty against manufacturing defects. The lineup spans 9'–11' across three lengths, with M and MH power ratings.
The 9' LIS9MS is the compact option for tighter spots or lighter lures (3/8–2oz). Two 10' models, LIS10MS and LIS10MHS, cover the mid-range with 1–5oz capacity. The 11' models, LIS11MHC (casting) and LIS11MHS (spinning) at 2–5oz, are built for maximum reach and heavier loads. Casting and spinning variants exist in the MH tier at 10' and 11'; the M tier is spinning-only.

A closer look at notable models.
Shortest and lightest model in the series. Better suited to smaller surfcasting environments, jetties, rock piles, or compact beach stretches, where a long rod is a hindrance. Lure ceiling at 2oz limits heavy chunk rigs.
Conventional 11-footer for anglers who prefer baitcasting reels in the surf. Less common in the surf market than spinning; suits overhead casters throwing heavy plugs or bait rigs requiring strong hook pressure.
