X-11 Michigan Handle

The Lamiglas X-11 Michigan Handle series is a Great Lakes salmon and steelhead float fishing lineup designed for anglers who prefer the traditional Michigan-style grip over a conventional cork or foam handle. The series serves drift and float anglers pursuing steelhead and salmon on Great Lakes tributaries and similar Midwestern river systems, at a consistent price of approximately $147 per rod. All three rods are 2-piece spinning rods built on the X-11 graphite platform with moderate action tapers suited to long float drifts and parabolic bends that protect light tippets during extended fights.

The Michigan handle provides a longer, cushioned grip that aids two-handed rod operation during mending and fighting fish. Moderate action throughout the lineup is consistent with the slow, continuous drift presentations these rivers demand. The lineup progresses from 9'6" to 11'6" in a reach-based sequence: LX96MS-M at 9'6" with M power for more assertive applications (8–12 lb); LX106MLS-M at 10'6" ML for standard Great Lakes float work (6–10 lb, 1/8–5/8 oz); LX116MLS-M at 11'6" ML for larger water and long-drift situations.

The longer ML models share the same line and lure ratings, while the shorter M model handles heavier rigs.
