Dave Fritts Perfect Crankbait

The David Fritts Perfect Crankbait series is a pro-designed, single-technique casting rod lineup based on one application: fishing crankbaits for bass. Dave Fritts is a longtime Bassmaster Elite circuit competitor with extensive crankbait-specific experience; the series reflects that specialization. The graphite/glass composite construction delivers the limber tip and parabolic mid-section that defines a dedicated cranking rod, the tip loads slowly enough to prevent premature hookset rejection and the backbone provides enough power to move fish on treble hooks without tearing free.

Not appropriate for jigs, soft plastics, or any presentation requiring a stiff tip. Blanks use 42-million modulus graphite/glass composite, the glass component is critical and intentional, softening the tip and distributing load across the blank for fish-landing retention. Stainless steel guide frames with aluminum oxide inserts. Lightweight graphite reel seat with stainless cushioned hoods for extended casting sessions. Loop-style hook keeper specifically sized for crankbait treble hooks. All medium action across all six models. Six casting models ranging 6'8" to 7'11", all MH power and M action with varying line ratings (10–30 lb) and lure weights (1/4–3 oz).

The 6'8" covers shallow crankbaits and closer-range fishing; the 7'11" handles big deep-diving cranks (DT20, Strike King 10XD class) requiring extra leverage to control at depth. The 7'6" LDFP76MHP appears to be a plus/specialty version of the 7'6" MH. The 7' M model is the lowest-rated at 10–25 lb and 3/8–1 oz, likely a lighter-line squarebill or balsa bait specific model.
