KVD Rod

The Lew's KVD Rod series is a 23-model Kevin VanDam signature lineup split into three construction tiers. Graphite Casting (LKVDGC1 through LKVDGC10) covers single-hook techniques. Graphite Spinning (LKVDGS1 through LKVDGS7) handles finesse and light line presentations. Composite Casting (LKVDCC1 through LKVDCC6) is built for treble-hook moving baits like crankbaits and bladed jigs.

Blanks are premium IM8 graphite or graphite-composite layups. Components include split-grip EVA handles, Lew's Full Contact reel seats with increased blank exposure, stainless steel guides with aluminum oxide inserts, a zirconia tip-top for braid use, and the No Foul hook keeper. Spinning models use a rear-locking reel seat for hand comfort during long sessions.

Graphite casting models run medium-heavy to extra-heavy with fast or extra-fast action across 6'8" to 7'10". Spinning models concentrate on ML to MH with extra-fast tips from 6'10" to 7'6". Composite casting rods use moderate action from 6'8" to 7'4" with MH to H power, intended to load up on the cast and cushion treble-hooked fish.
