The Lew's MACH 2 Series (Generation 2) is a technique-specific freshwater bass rod lineup based on sub-$100 accessibility without stripping out modern features. The target angler is an enthusiast bass fisherman who wants specialized rods for individual presentations instead of one do-everything stick. The G2 designation marks the second generation, which introduced the G Clutch handle system and Midas Touch sensitivity enhancement over the original MACH 2. Blanks are IM8 graphite, intermediate modulus, providing a balance of sensitivity and forgiveness appropriate for a wide range of techniques.
Guides are stainless steel with aluminum oxide inserts. The reel seat is Lew's proprietary graphite skeletal design; spinning models use the BARE reel seat with G Clutch palming material for direct blank contact. Handles are Winn Dri-Tac split-grip with a patented 'No Foul' hook keeper. The G Clutch system positions the reel closer to the blank for improved balance and direct transmission of vibration.
