The Major Craft TIDRIFT 1G 4-Piece Travel model is a shore seabass series designed for anglers who need a compact pack rod without sacrificing the blank performance required for lure casting from jetties, rocky shores, and tidal flats. The series serves light-to-medium inshore saltwater work. Seabass, seatrout, and similar coastal predators. Using plugs and soft plastics from 7 to 45 g.
All rods are 4-piece construction with Fuji K-O ring guides and a Fuji VSS reel seat, breaking down to a travel-friendly length and packaged in a semi-hard case. The regular-fast action taper is optimized for casting distance while still loading adequately at close range. Blanks use the same technology as higher-grade TIDRIFT models, scaled to a cost-accessible 1G price point.
The three models run 9'0" and 9'6", with the two 9'6" variants split by power: TD1-964ML handles 7–35 g on PE 0.6–1.5 (same range as the 9'0"), while TD1-964M steps up to 10–45 g on PE 0.8–2.0 for larger plugs and heavier conditions. Rod weights are 157, 163, and 170 g respectively. All are spinning rods with regular-fast action.
