The Major Craft Finetail Begins Bait Casting Game model (FFB) is a three-rod series within the entry-tier Finetail Begins lineup, built for baitcasting trout fishing in Japanese mountain streams (keiryu). The rods are shaped around accurate short- to mid-range casting of 4–6 cm minnows and small lures under 8g in narrow, obstacle-heavy stream environments where precision matters more than distance. The target angler is a beginner or intermediate stream angler developing baitcasting technique.

All three models share identical specs. UL power, Regular action, 1.5–8g lure range, 2–6 lb line, PE 0.2–0.6. On a taper designed to accommodate PE line while reducing dropped fish. Fuji stainless K-frame guides are used throughout for sensitivity and tangle reduction. The grip combines natural wood reel seats with metal parts, a premium aesthetic for the price point (¥16,900–¥18,000). The regular taper allows the angler to feel lure weight through the cast for consistent minnow control.

Models differ solely by length: 4'2", 4'6", and 4'10", all 2-piece. The 4'2" is the tight-quarters specialist; the 4'6" is the standard workhorse for flip, underhand, and sidearm casting at the most common stream scale; the 4'10" bridges precision and modest reach for wider stream situations.
