Bait Finesse model

JDM bass casting rods designed for the bait finesse system (BFS) technique, using a modified baitcasting reel with a lightweight spool to cast lures below 1/8 oz that conventional baitcasters cannot handle. BFS is a technique developed in Japan for clear-water pressured bass and trout fishing where finesse presentations on a baitcaster are required. Target angler is the technically oriented bass angler using a finesse-tuned baitcaster to fish micro-jigs, small worms, and light drop shots. Not applicable with standard baitcasting equipment.

Blank uses 4-axis carbon wrapping, a construction method that adds layers of carbon fiber at multiple angles for torsional stiffness while keeping blank diameter thin. Unsanded blank finish with handwritten-style printed specs, consistent with Major Craft's Days series aesthetic. Fuji K-frame tangle-free guides with SiC inserts for casting performance with light braid or fluorocarbon. Fuji ECS reel seat with cushioned stainless hood. Four models in two length/power pairings: 6'5" UL (DYC-652UL/BF and DYC-65UL/BF, both RF action, 3-10lb, 1/32-1/4 oz) and 6'8" L (DYC-682L/BF and DYC-68L/BF, both F action, 4-12lb, 1/16-1/4 oz). The numeric distinction between 652 and 65, and 682 and 68, likely denotes a 2-piece vs 1-piece build. The 6'5" pair serves the lightest BFS applications; the 6'8" pair handles slightly larger lures and gives more casting leverage.
