Blade Jigging model

The Major Craft GK1 Blade Jigging sub-series is built specifically for spinner-tail jigging, a technique involving straight retrieves with bladed jigs such as Major Craft's own Bomber Spin. The target species are pelagic and fast-moving: Spanish mackerel (sawara), amberjack, and similar offshore bluewater fish that respond to fast-retrieve lure presentations. The style became broadly popular in Japan and this series was developed to support it with dedicated blanks. All three models are spinning configuration with Fast (F) action blanks in intermediate modulus carbon.

The lower-modulus material choice is deliberate: it reduces blank recovery speed (the "low-response" concept described by Major Craft), which dampens energy transfer from the angler's retrieve motion into the lure, keeping the blade jig swimming on an even keel instead of kicking unpredictably. The softer-than-typical tip also helps pin hooked fish through a forgiving bend, while the belly and butt section retain power for driving hooks on hard-running fish. Lure weights climb from 11/16–1 3/4 oz (ML) through 1 7/16–2 13/16 oz (MH).

The lineup is three spinning rods, 6'4" ML, 6'8" M, and 6'8" MH, all with Fast action. The two 6'8" models share the same length but differ in power, letting anglers select blank stiffness to match lure weight and target size. No casting models are included; the technique is native to spinning gear. The series sits within the broader GK1 (Giant Killing 1st Generation) platform.
