Kurodai Game model

The Major Craft Solpara Kurodai SPKD series serves Japanese black sea bream (kurodai/chinu, Acanthopagrus schlegelii), a technically demanding coastal fishing discipline involving finesse rigs, sensitive tips, and the ability to detect bottom contact through PE line. The intended angler is the Japanese kurodai lure specialist working from rocky shores, breakwaters, and urban coastal structures. The series is part of the 2026 Solpara refresh.

All models use Major Craft's standard Solpara mid-grade blank construction with regular-fast action for most models and fast action for the /S (solid-tip) variant. Line ratings are light, PE #0.3–1.2, matching the fine braids common in Japanese coastal finesse. Lure weights are in the 3–20g window, appropriate for tenya-style jig heads, small metal jigs, and finesse soft plastics. Reel seats are ergonomic designs noted for comfortable grip; EVA handles are high-density for light overall weight.

Five models: four spinning and one baitcasting, covering 7'6" and 7'8" lengths. The SPKD-762ML/S is the solid-tip finesse model with fast action for maximum bite detection. The SPKD-B782M and SPKD-B762ML/S carry the B prefix showing baitcasting builds, unusual in domestic kurodai fishing but available for anglers preferring light baitcasting rigs.
