Light Game model

The Rock Liver 1G Light Game model (RVL1 series) is Major Craft's entry-class rod for shore-based light rock fishing (LRF), made for small species, mebaru, meiji, kasago, and related species, primarily from breakwaters and urban harbour structures. Lure weights concentrate in the 0.4–20g band, which covers jighead rigs from 0.5g through mid-weight hard baits. The intended angler is someone entering rock game fishing or fishing tight to vertical structures where feel over power is primary.

The RVL1 blank fuses high-elasticity and medium-elasticity carbon to balance sensitivity and lure control at light weights. Two blank types run through the series: solid-tip (S prefix) and tubular-tip (T prefix). Solid tips load more smoothly under the weight of sub-1g jigheads and transmit bite signals at depth; tubular tips are stiffer under load, preferred for accurate casting and surface plug work. Fuji ALCONITE guides and Fuji VSS reel seats are consistent across models.

All are spinning configuration. Eight models span 6'3" to 8'6", powers UL through MH, fast to regular action. The shortest (S632UL, solid) is for confined harbour work with micro-rigs; the longest (T862MH, tubular) stretches into small sea bass and larger inshore serves at heavier lure weights. The solid-tip S-prefix models cap at UL–L; tubular T-prefix models run L through MH and better handle repeated casts with heavier plugs.
