Pack Rod model

The Benkei/CRX Pack Rod model collection consolidates Major Craft's travel-ready 4-piece bass and light saltwater rods into a single browsable lineup. Anglers here are traveling bass fishers who need a check-bag-legal rod that performs like a one-piece, day-trippers, business travelers, and backcountry waders. The Benkei sub-group leans freshwater bass; the CRX sub-group spans surf and shore casting from 7'8" out to 9'6", including two ajing/finesse models (CRX-S694AJI, CRX-S764UL) calibrated for ultralight salt-light-game. Blanks are 4-piece carbon construction; the Benkei models use Major Craft's standard BENKEI-series blank manufacture known for minimizing flex-deadness at the ferrule junctions.

The CRX models use intermediate-modulus carbon suited to higher surf-casting loads. Guide configurations are Fuji K-frame throughout; rod lengths fold to roughly 55–70 cm for travel. A semi-hard case is included with Benkei models. Actions range from Fast (finesse spinning) to Regular (M-power baitcasting) to Regular Fast across most of the CRX shore range. The lineup splits into two distinct families by prefix. BIC/BIS (6 models, 6'4"–7') cover freshwater bass casting and spinning from finesse (UL, 1/32 oz) through big-bait (H, 3/8–1.1/8 oz).

CRX models (10 models, 7'8"–9'6") are saltwater-focused shore rods: standard spinning for surface iron and soft plastics at 8'6"–9'6", one long-range ML at 9', and two specialty XUL/UL ajing models for light-game salt fishing. The 9'6" CRX-964LSJ carries a fixed single lure weight (1 7/16 oz) marking it as a dedicated shore-jig or surface-iron model.
