A JDM multi-piece travel rod series within Major Craft's Finetail Native lineup, designed for mountain stream and native trout fishing. The series uses a switch-style modular design: a 6-inch carbon butt extension section can be added or removed, providing two effective lengths from one rod. The core blank is fiberglass (UD weave, described as sharper and crisper than woven glass) for parabolic soft action suited to upstream presentations with small spoons, inline spinners, and light plugs.

Target species are stream trout, yamame, amago, iwana in Japan, and native trout in domestic mountain fisheries. UD fiberglass blank produces a parabolic loading action that protects light tippets and improves hookup rate on trout with light bites. Premium Fuji guides and guide rings throughout. Custom wooden reel seat and offset cork full handle provide traditional feel and reliable grip in wet conditions. The offset handle geometry is designed for underhand and flip-casting in tight streamside situations.

Both spinning and baitcasting models available. Five models: three spinning (FTX-38/425UL, FTX-46/505UL, FTX-50/565L) and two casting (FTX-B38/425UL, FTX-B46/505UL). Lengths are compact, 3'8" through 5'0" (assembled without extension) or 4'2" through 5'6" (with extension). All UL or L power, F action. Piece counts are 4 (full glass) for all; the extension section adds a 5th piece. The 3'8" models are the most specialized for extremely confined streams.
