Tubular model

The Tubular model is the standard sub-series within the Egizaust 5G (EZ5) shore eging lineup, sold as the versatile all-season workhorse for egi (squid jig) fishing made for Japanese common squid, bigfin reef squid, and other cephalopods from shore. The Tubular designation distinguishes these rods from the LRC (Low Response Category) counterparts on the same platform. Here the blank is designed for sharp, defined darting egi movement instead of a dampened response, suiting an active site-eging style and covering the full seasonal range of squid activity.

Blanks use Major Craft's R360 construction, which minimizes tip deflection during and after the jerk to improve line release accuracy and ensure precise egi dart-and-pause animation. Lightweight carbon-frame SiC guides at the tip section reduce tip weight and wobble. The sharp blank enables crisp movement of egi sizes 2.5 through 3.5. All four models are spinning format with RF (Regular Fast) action. The lineup forms a 2x2 matrix: 8'3" and 8'6" lengths in ML and M power.

ML models (832ML, 862ML) handle 3/16-7/16 oz and suit lighter PE setups and finesse presentations. M-power models (832M, 862M) cover 1/4-1/2 oz and address larger egi and slightly stronger-current conditions. The 8'3" vs. 8'6" choice within each power class is a subtle casting-distance and shore-position decision; the underlying blank character is consistent across both.
