The Prox BUCHINUKI MIDDLE GAME is a mid-range saltwater light-game series shaped around chinu (black sea bream) and kijihata (goldeneye rockfish) fishing from shore, river mouths, and harbours. The name "buchinuki" references pulling fish through structure. A priority in the technical bottom game for chinu. Target technique is bottom contact finesse: Texas rig, free rig, and Carolina-style presentations with small soft plastics on light fluorocarbon leaders. All three models share a 7'5" length in a 2-piece 98% carbon blank.
The series splits by tip type. TT (tubular tip) and ST (solid tip), and by style: one baitcaster and two spinning variants. Lure weight tops at 20g. Line is rated PE 0.8–1.2. The tubular tip casting model (BNMGB752TT) accommodates anglers preferring baitcasting gear for precise pitching; the spinning TT model (BNMGS752TT) provides similar sensitivity with a spinning reel; the solid-tip spinning (BNMGS752ST) trades some tip stiffness for enhanced bite detection and softer lure drop.
An Alconite ring top guide and K-guide frame layout are standard across the lineup. No length variation exists. All models are 7'5". The series differentiates via tip construction (solid vs. Tubular) and reel seat orientation (cast vs. Spin). Baitcasting gear favors vertical control; spinning favors coverage casts. Solid tip is the finesse option, tubular the responsive option for setting hooks in structure.

A closer look at notable models.
Baitcasting variant with tubular tip. Suited to pitching rigs tight to structure and making short, precise casts under jetties or alongside rock walls. Tubular tip provides positive feel on aggressive bites.
Solid-tip spinning model. The softer tip enhances light-bite detection and allows small soft plastics to fall naturally. Most sensitive option in the lineup for pressured fish taking cautiously.
