MAJINBOU SLJ

JDM super light jigging (SLJ) series from Prox, a Japanese brand made for offshore micro-jigging from boats. The MAJINBOU SLJ is built for light metal jigs (up to 60–100 g depending on model) over inshore structure, made for species common to Japanese SLJ fisheries: small amberjack, sea bass, mackerel, and similar mid-water fish. The casting (B suffix) models extend the technique to baitcasting gear for anglers who prefer a compact lever-drag setup.

All models are 1.93 m (approximately 6'4"), 2-piece, 98% carbon blanks with an extremely thin-wall profile, described as approaching LRF (light rock fishing) blank diameter. Fuji K Alconite guides and Fuji reel seat. Rod weight runs 94–96 g across the series, which is notably light for a jigging rod. The blank taper isolates tip sensitivity while retaining enough mid-blank reserve to work jigs rhythmically and turn fish at depth. The B-suffix models are functionally identical jig-weight builds in baitcasting form.

Five models covering three jig-weight tiers: MJBSLJ631 (max 60 g, spinning), MJBSLJ6315 (max 80 g, spinning), MJBSLJ6315B (max 80 g, casting), MJBSLJ632 (max 100 g, spinning), MJBSLJ632B (max 100 g, casting). All share identical length. The lineup splits by power (jig max) and style (spinning vs. Baitcasting) instead of length or technique differentiation.
