The SANSAKUME EDOMAE IKIFUGU (三尺目江戸前活フグ) is a single-model casting rod for edomae-style ikifugu fishing, the Edo-style (Tokyo Bay area tradition) method of made for puffer fish with live or fresh bait from a boat, where fish must be kept alive post-catch for licensed kappou culinary handling. The "san-shaku-me" name indicates a slightly longer blank than the companion Nisakume model ("ni-shaku-me"), reflecting a different deployment scenario or angler-preference within the same technique.

Where the Nisakume features an 8:2 tip action, the Sansakume is documented with an extreme 9:1 fugu tip action, a near-full-tip-bend design that maximizes sensitivity for the minimal contact bites of puffer fish. Like the Nisakume, it relies on a glass solid tip for visual bite indication and a Fuji ECS blank-touch reel seat for fingertip blank sensitivity. The extended length and more extreme tip action suit deeper-water positions or situations requiring additional reach from the boat.

The lineup is a single model: 3EIF6 at 5'11", casting configuration. The series sits alongside the Nisakume (5'3") as Prox's two dedicated ikifugu boat rods, differentiated by length and tip-action ratio.
