The BUMPTY is a specialist JDM rod designed exclusively for Asian sheepshead wrasse (kobudai) and related bottom-structure light game from a boat. This is a highly niche, technique-specific product based on the Japanese "kobudai" fishing method, vertical presentations using small crabs or shellfish-imitating jigs near rocky bottom and kelp structure. The blank uses an extra-fast taper with a very soft tip section (SL = solid tip in fluorescent-marked material) combined with a powerful butt, this combination telegraphs the kobudai's subtle bites while providing enough backbone to control a heavy, structure-hugging fish.

Three-piece telescoping construction (3T) with a detachable tip that can be stored inside the grip, maximizing portability for boat use. Guides set in spiral orientation (spinning model). Fuji TCS seat on the casting model, DPS on the spinning. Two models: C70/SL (7', casting, 166g, max lure 20g, PE2.0, max drag 6kg) for vertical boat-side work, and S72/SL (7'2", spinning, 156g) for casting to paving stones and submerged structure away from the boat.

Both 3-piece, both rated for 20g max.
