DAGEKI ISSEN (一閃)

DAGEKI ISSEN (一閃, meaning 'flash of the blade') is Tailwalk's dedicated bass fishing rod series, an evolution of the original DAGEKI platform tuned specifically for Japanese bass techniques. The series fits anglers fishing for largemouth and smallmouth bass with a variety of lure presentations including jigs, soft plastics, and topwater, across both spinning and baitcasting platforms. It was developed alongside the Tailwalk English-language product catalog as an internationally accessible JDM series.

Blanks use Tailwalk's proprietary composite graphite with fast tip action throughout; all 12 models carry fast action, giving the series a consistent high-sensitivity, quick-loading character. Fuji Alconite guides and Fuji VSS reel seats are standard across the lineup, as confirmed by the broader DAGEKI platform specifications. All casting models use standard trigger pistol-grip configuration. Model codes follow a consistent pattern: prefix C (casting) or S (spinning), length in cm, and a max lure weight suffix (e. g.

/198-24 = 198cm, 24g max). The 12 models break into 3 casting and 9 spinning. Spinning spans 6'6" L through 8'2" MH, unusual range that covers finesse drop-shot (S662L) up to heavy swimbait and big-jig casting (S822MH). The S822M and S822MH are the longest models at 8'2", extending casting range for open-water and reservoir fishing. Casting covers 6'6" ML and M, and 7' MH, with the 7' MH the heaviest baitcasting option at 3/16–1 1/4oz.
