The L-JIGGYS SSD STRONG ARCH is Tailwalk's power-oriented departure within the L-JIGGYS SSD light jigging family, built explicitly around toughness and maximum power transmission instead of the weight-reduction focus of the standard SSD models. It suits anglers who need a light-jigging-length rod that can handle fish well above the typical light-jig weight class, including offshore targets exceeding 10 kg such as amberjack, kingfish, and large grouper, while still covering standard light jigging targets like beltfish and seabass.
Bias-structured carbon sheets are integrated from tip to butt, reducing blank twist during aggressive rod work and channelling force more directly into line pull during the fight. X-wrapping further suppresses torsion under heavy load, both construction elements combine to improve power transmission compared to a standard SSD blank. Fuji SiC-ring guides run the full blank, providing heat dissipation and line durability appropriate for PE braid under sustained drag. The rod is not sold as a weight-sensitive tool; it trades away the lightness emphasis of the standard SSD for structural integrity.
Two baitcasting models, both 6'1": C612 (S action, jig capacity to 150 g standard / 250 g light jerk) and C613 (R action, to 180 g standard / 280 g light jerk). The S-action C612 is the faster tip model for speed-jerk cadences; the R-action C613 loads deeper into the blank, better suited for slower wide-sweep presentations on heavier metals.

A closer look at notable models.
S (Solid/Stiff) tip action with a 150 g standard / 250 g light-jerk ceiling. Fast tip suits high-cadence speed jigging for pelagic species. The lighter jig ceiling of the two models makes it more appropriate for conventional light jig presentations in the 80–150 g range.
R (Regular) action loads deeper, better for slow-pitch or wide-sweep jerks on heavier jigs. The 180 g standard / 280 g light-jerk ceiling makes this the heavier-duty option in the pair, suited to deeper water or stronger current requiring heavier metals.
