METALZON TZ [New Gen]

The Tailwalk METALZON TZ [New Gen] (2025 model) is a dedicated ikametal squid jigging series for anglers who target squid from boats using a weighted sinker with a sutte (Japanese squid rig) suspended above it. Ikametal is a boat-based vertical jigging style where detecting the faintest squid touches is paramount. Both visually through tip deflection and tactilely through the blank. This generation uses Fuji titanium-frame Torzite ring guides selected specifically to amplify tip movement visibility under low light.

Two of the three models use a K-setting spiral guide configuration (designation "-K") that reduces line trouble during the repeated jigging and shaking actions central to ikametal technique. The third model (C63M-N/TISL) uses a neutral/standard guide setting biased toward maximum tip visibility and lighter presentations. All blanks incorporate TORAYCA M40X high-modulus carbon. The series carries the TISL (Titanium SiC Lightweight) designation throughout.

All three are baitcasting models. C59MH-K/TISL is 5'9" MH rated 60–140 g, suited to heavier sinker loads in deeper water or faster current. C63M-K/TISL is 6'3" M rated 40–120 g with spiral guides for active jigging. C63M-N/TISL is 6'3" M with standard guide layout and an S (soft) tip action for visual sensitivity on lighter presentations.
