NAMAZON G-Model

The Tailwalk NAMAZON G-Model is a glass-composite catfish rod series made for Japanese freshwater catfish (namazu) anglers who need accurate casts to defined serves at short-to-mid range. Glass-composite blanks are chosen deliberately for their moderate action and forgiving hookset characteristics, catfish often mouth baits tentatively and glass dampens the angler's tendency to overpower the strike. The series sits below the carbon-tubular NAMAZON in Tailwalk's catfish lineup.

All models use glass-composite blanks paired with Fuji stainless-frame SiC guides and round cork grips. The Regular action across the lineup reflects the glass content. Lure weights are low for a catfish rod, the 1/32 oz lower limit on some models indicates this series also handles finesse presentations. Casting accuracy and a forgiving bend on the strike are the primary design priorities. Three casting models and one spinning model keep technique options open without overextending the lineup.

Power spans M to H across 6'3" to 7'. The S63M/G spinning model handles the lightest lures (3/32–5/16 oz) and lighter line (8–16 lb), made for smaller fish or tight-quarters stream work. The three baitcasters step up progressively: C65M/G for standard casting, C68MH/G for heavier lures and bigger fish, and C70H/G at the top for maximum power at 7' length, the go-to for larger catfish in strong current. All are two-piece for easier transport.
