OKINAWA MANBIKA

The Okinawa Manbika (沖縄マンビカ, "manbika" is the Okinawan dialect term for mahi-mahi/dorado) is Tailwalk's dedicated shore big-game casting series, made for experienced land-based anglers made for Giant Trevally (GT), kingfish, amberjack, large grouper, and dogtooth tuna from rocky shorelines and embankments. Heavy X-wrap graphite reinforcement from tip to butt, double-wrapped Fuji MNST/MNSG guides, Fuji DPS20 reel seat rated to 15–17kg drag, and lure ratings up to 200g, is calibrated for big-lure punishment in powerful fish situations.

The blank is based on Tailwalk's X-wrapping carbon sheet construction, which adds torsional rigidity and impact resistance versus standard carbon layups. The result is a rod that can handle repeated casting of 100–200g poppers and stick baits through extended sessions without fatigue-induced blank failure. All models are regular (R/slow) action, this is intentional for GT and large pelagic species, where fast-action blanks cause too many pulled hooks and breakoffs during the running phase of a fight. Two grip styles are used: lighter A-type grips on the SXH models and heavier B-type with longer foregrip on SSXH models handling max-drag loads.

Nine models split across spinning (S prefix) and casting/baitcasting (C prefix), in 10' and 11' lengths. Power designations run XH (max 150g, 15kg drag) to SSXH (max 200g, 17kg drag). P3 suffix indicates a 3-piece construction collapsing to around 106–107cm for expedition travel. The EVOLUTION 105XXXH is a special lineup entry at XXXH power, beyond the standard range.
