A high-end telescopic travel rod designed for anglers who want functional performance in a compact, always-carry format. Target species and techniques span stream trout, light saltwater (ajing, mebaru, rockfish), and general light freshwater, anything in the L to ML power range. All models fold to under 50 cm (approximately 20 inches). The intended user travels frequently and wants one rod that works across freshwater and light salt without carrying a rod tube.
The defining construction feature is Fuji Mobile-K guides, threadless, epoxy-free carbon-frame guides that reduce total weight, minimize interference with blank flex, and allow the rod to bend more naturally than with conventional single-foot guides. Blank material is selected specifically to achieve a smooth bending curve under telescopic constraints. Fuji TVS reel seat. The combination produces rod action and balance quality that Tailwalk positions as exceptional for a telescopic design.
Weight runs 84–130 g across the series. Five models, all spinning, 4–7 piece. Closed lengths are 48–50 cm. The series scales from 5'1" (4-piece, max 16g, pinpoint short-range casting) through 6'4", 7'5" L, 7'5" ML, and 8'10" ML at the long end for open-area distance work. Both L and ML appear at 7'5", differing in lure ceiling (21g vs. 25g) and target application, the L is described as a light-feel rod, the ML as an all-rounder.
