The SILVERNA LAGO is Tailwalk's area-trout-pond series, supervised by Shinichi Takizawa and targeted at managed-water trout fishing (erimono). Primary technique is ultralight lure work, micro spoons, crankbaits, and soft silicone worms, in stillwater or slow-current venues. Secondary applications include perch, chub, and stream wild trout where similarly finesse presentations apply. Blanks are 96% carbon / 4% glass composite in two-piece form, yielding cross-blank weights of 63–85 g.
All models use Regular (R) action, meaning tip flex transitions into a relatively forgiving mid-section, appropriate for area fish that fight on light tippet. Fuji KR SiC guides and Fuji SKSS reel seats are consistent across the lineup. Maximum lure rating is 5–6 g; line ratings top out at 4 lb mono, confirming a dedicated ultralight role. Five spinning models span 5'8"–6'5". The 58/SL Micro is the shortest and lightest, made for tight dock or close-range presentations.
The 59Bottom and 60Retrieve occupy mid-range utility. The 63Versatility steps up for trolling passes and wider coverage. The 65Crank is the longest and heaviest (85 g), positioned for crankbait work requiring more load in the cast. No casting models; the series is entirely spinning.
Deeper Dive
A closer look at notable models.
Shortest rod in the lineup, optimized for close-quarters harbor-style area ponds. The 'Micro' designation signals it is sized specifically for compact lures and tight casting lanes where a 6'+ rod would be unwieldy.
Longest and heaviest model at 85 g, built to load under crankbait mass and sustain longer retrieves across open pond water. Regular action suits the reduced need for sharp hooksets on treble-hooked hard baits.
