The Slow Bump TZ is Tailwalk's premium slow-pitch jigging casting rod, positioned above the MPG by the use of Fuji Titanium Torzite (TZ) guides and an ultra-light blank designed for deep and mid-depth slow-pitch jigging. Torzite rings offer low friction resistance and exceptional thinness, which keeps weight minimal, relevant at the tip where guide mass affects jig action transmission. Target applications are essentially identical to the MPG line but with a premium-build focus: boat-based vertical jigging for amberjack, sea bream, grouper, and deepwater reef species.
The two models differ fundamentally in capacity instead of just drag: the 5710 (5'7") is a heavy-capacity rod with 800 g SPJ/max lure weight and 6 kg drag max, weighing 180 g; the 6300 (6'3") is a light-capacity rod rated to 150 g SPJ/max with just 1 kg drag max, weighing 108 g. The 6300 is for shallow to mid-depth work on light jigs and smaller species; the 5710 is a deep-water, heavy-jig tool for big-game slow pitch made for large amberjack and similar. Reel seat options vary: Type A uses a Fuji TCS seat, Type B a Fuji T-DPS seat to accommodate large jigging reels on the heavy models.
Two casting models only, both slow action. The stark difference in weight class between 5710 and 6300 means the lineup does not increment gradually, each model is purpose-indexed for a specific depth/species combination. Spinning models is absent.
