The Ugly Stik Carbon Casting Rod is a freshwater baitcasting series sold as the lightest and most sensitive offering in the Ugly Stik lineup while retaining the brand's durability reputation. Target angler is a general freshwater bass or all-around freshwater fisherman who wants a step up from fiberglass Ugly Stik models but at a price point below premium graphite brands. This series is not made for finesse specialists or tournament anglers, it is a well-rounded workhorse for moderate technique casting.
Blanks are 100% 24-ton graphite, a modest modulus rating that leans toward durability and feel over raw lightness. The solid graphite tip, instead of a hollow graphite or composite tip, adds sensitivity for bottom feel and subtle bites without the fragility of higher-modulus solid tips. Guides are Ugly Tuff one-piece stainless steel, resistant to insert loss but not optimized for braided line management. Reel seats are Fuji Soft-Touch. Winn split grips are a distinguishing feature at this price tier, providing grip even when wet.
Warranty is 7 years. Six casting models only, ranging from 6'6" to 7'6". Powers span M to H, all fast action. The lineup divides into: 6'6" M (two variants, USCBCA661M and USCBCA662M, likely differing by handle configuration or grip material), 7' M and 7' MH, 7'3" MH, and 7'6" H. Coverage suits standard bass techniques, crankbaits, jigs, Texas rigs, flipping, but lacks UL or L options, excluding panfish/trout anglers.

A closer look at notable models.
Compact M model for boat deck versatility. 6'6" suits moderate pitching and casting in tighter spots; M power keeps it manageable for crankbaits and medium-weight jigs. The shorter blank reduces sensitivity at distance vs. Longer models.
Heaviest and longest model. 7'6" H covers punching, heavy flipping, and heavy swimbaits. At this power, the solid graphite tip remains useful for detecting bottom contact in dense cover applications.
