Carbon Catfishing Casting Rod

Built for catfish anglers who want a lighter, more sensitive tool than traditional fiberglass cat rods without sacrificing toughness. The Carbon Catfishing Casting Rod serves channel, blue, and flathead catfish from bank, shore, or boat using bait rigs on 15–50 lb line. Ugly Tuff one-piece stainless guides handle braid without liner issues. The moderate action and heavy-to-medium-heavy blanks are tuned for absorbing runs and loading circle hooks instead of setting with a hard sweep.

Blank is 100% 24-ton graphite (Ugly Tech construction), which cuts weight compared to the fiberglass-composite Catfish Special line. Oversized golf-style foregrip and EVA shrink-tube rear grip are selected for wet-hand grip during extended bait fishing sessions. Guides are one-piece welded stainless, no inserts to pop out. 7-year warranty. Two-piece construction on all models. Five casting models only, Spinning variants in this series (a separate Carbon Catfish Spinning line exists) is absent.

Two length categories: 7'6" (three models) and 9'6" (two models). Within each length, MH and H power split covers different line classes, 15–30 lb vs. 20–50 lb. The 9'6" models extend reach for bank fishing or surf-style catfish setups.
