Carbon Inshore Casting Rod

The Ugly Stik Carbon Inshore Casting Rod serves inshore saltwater anglers working the flats and nearshore structure for redfish, speckled trout, snook, and similar species. It represents Ugly Stik's move further into the graphite-dominated inshore casting category, departing from the brand's traditional graphite-fiberglass hybrid construction in favor of a full 24-ton graphite blank that is roughly 30% lighter than the GX2. The blank uses 24-ton graphite with a solid graphite tip, a combination that gives noticeably higher sensitivity than earlier Ugly Stik models while retaining the brand's reputation for impact resistance.

Guides are one-piece stainless steel. The reel seat is Fuji, and handles use a premium cork fore grip with a shrink-tube rear, a departure from EVA common at this price point. Seven-year warranty is included. All three models are 7-foot, one-piece casting rods, differentiated by power and action: ML/XF for finesse presentations on light line, M/XF for jigs and soft plastics, and MH/F for heavier lure work and larger inshore species. Line ratings span 8–20 lb across the series.

The uniform 7-foot length and casting-only configuration mean the lineup is optimized for a single technique tier instead of covering the full inshore spinning-casting spread. Retail price typically falls around $90–$100.
