Striper Casting Rod

The Ugly Stik Striper Casting Rod serves coastal anglers pursuing striped bass, bluefish, and comparably large inshore species, as well as freshwater anglers fishing for pike and muskies. The extended handle section sets it apart from standard bass casting rods, providing the two-handed leverage needed for longer casts with heavier presentations and for controlling large fish. The series suits anglers who need a durable, value-oriented rod capable of handling the demands of surf edges, jetties, and large river systems.

Blanks use Ugly Tech construction, a graphite-fiberglass composite that balances sensitivity with the impact resistance and flexibility that fiberglass adds. The Clear Tip design reinforces the tip section for additional strength without sacrificing bite detection. Ugly Tuff one-piece stainless steel guides resist saltwater corrosion and eliminate insert pop-out failures common in harsher conditions. The one-piece blank design preserves sensitivity throughout the blank.

The lineup gives anglers two models at 7'0" and 7'6", both in Moderate Fast action. The 7'0" USCASTP701MH is Medium-Heavy power rated for 12-25 lb line, suited to heavier presentations and larger fish. The 7'6" USCASTP761ML is Medium-Light at 6-20 lb, oriented toward lighter lures and finesse approaches for stripers where long casting is prioritized over raw power.
