The Tiger Elite Casting Rod serves heavy freshwater and inshore saltwater workloads, catfish, stripers, carp, and large-body predators where abrasion resistance and load-bearing butt power matter more than blank sensitivity. Both models are suited to baitcasting with conventional or low-profile reels, using heavier mono or fluoro lines in the 12–40 lb range.
Constructed with Ugly Tuff composite blank technology (fiberglass-graphite hybrid), the series prioritises durability over weight savings. Ugly Tuff one-piece stainless guides have no insert to pop out, a deliberate trade of weight for field longevity. Diamond shrink-tube rear handle and EVA foregrip are standard across the pair. 7-year limited warranty covers the series.
Two models span MH and H power at 6'6" and 7' respectively. The shorter MH handles 12–30 lb line for general heavy freshwater; the longer H steps up to 14–40 lb for bull catfish, heavy sinker rigs, or surf casting. Both are baitcasting/conventional format only, Spinning variants in this cut of the lineup is absent.
Deeper Dive
A closer look at notable models.
6'6" MH covers the broad middle ground, catfish rigs, heavy swimbaits, or inshore bottom presentations. Shorter length trades distance for control from a bank or boat. Line rating tops at 30 lb, so not the call for very heavy sinker rigs.
The heavier of the two, 7' length and H power with 14–40 lb range puts this firmly in bull catfish and large-bait territory. Extra foot of length improves leverage on hard-running fish and adds casting distance from the bank.
