Assault

The Bull Bay Assault is a U. S. -made inshore saltwater spinning series designed primarily for live bait fishing but capable of handling artificial lures. The target angler is a Southeast/Gulf Coast inshore fisherman made for redfish, snook, trout, and similar species with heavier-than-average inshore gear, the series skews toward larger live baits and heavier lines instead of finesse presentation. Blanks feature thicker inner wall layering compared to Bull Bay's lighter Stealth or Sniper series, which increases durability and backbone at the cost of sensitivity.

All models use fast action. Hardware includes double-locking graphite reel seat with carbon fiber touch points, full two-tone cork grip, and double-foot tangle-free guides. Made in the USA, Bull Bay is a Florida-based manufacturer. One reviewer noted guide spacing on the heavier (H power) models restricts casting distance compared to expectations. All 10 models are spinning, ranging 6'6" to 7'10". The lineup is organized by line weight group: 17lb models (MH, F), 20lb models (MH, F), 25lb models (H, F), and 30lb and 40lb models at 7'10" H.

Within each line class, multiple lengths are available. The 30lb and 40lb models (BBRAR30-710, BBRAR40-710) at 7'10" H are the heaviest, suited for big snook, tarpon leaders, or live mullet fishing.
