Sniper

The Bull Bay Sniper is a specialized inshore saltwater spinning series from Bull Bay Tackle Company, made for anglers fishing the flats, backcountry, and nearshore environments of the Gulf and Atlantic coasts. Primary species include redfish, snook, speckled trout, and flounder. The series is specifically calibrated for artificial lure casting, jigheads, soft plastics, topwater, and light swimbaits, where cast distance and lure sensitivity matter more than bait-soaking backbone. It is not optimised for heavy live bait or offshore applications.

Blanks use a 24/36-ton carbon blend, offering a balance between lightweight sensitivity and impact resistance in the salt environment. Hardware is marine-specific: SS316 stainless tangle-free guides, graphite reel seat with double-locking nut and carbon insert. The series differs from the Stealth Sniper (a companion series) in using cork handles instead of EVA, a choice that trades durability in wet conditions for slightly better blank-to-hand feedback. Two Pink Addition models (BBRSR12-7-PINK, BBRSR17-7-PINK) add a color variant with no documented spec differences.

All nine rods are 7-foot or 7'6" spinning, in ML, M, and MH power with Fast action. Line ratings span 5–20lb, which maps to the 10–30lb fluorocarbon/braid typical of inshore fishing. The lineup segments clearly: 7' models give maneuverability from a skiff or kayak; 7'6" models extend casting range for wading. Three power steps (ML, M, MH) cover light-action trout to heavier redfish and snook, with the 20lb-rated BBRSR20-76 pushing into the heavier inshore range.
