TAC-X
High-modulus inshore artificial lure rod with titanium guides and carbon grips
Bull Bay's upper-tier inshore rod built for artificial lure fishing in Florida-style coastal environments, redfish, snook, speckled trout, tarpon on lighter tackle. The TAC-X positions itself as a step up from Bull Bay's Stealth series, with newly redesigned high-modulus carbon fiber blanks that the company describes as the lightest and most sensitive they produce. The target angler is a serious inshore angler fishing from a skiff or wading, throwing soft plastics, jerkbaits, and light topwater.
Distinctive features: titanium frame tangle-free guides (rust-immune, light), graphite reel seat with double locking nut and carbon fiber insert, and carbon fiber rod grips instead of cork or EVA. The blank is 100% carbon fiber. The combination prioritizes salt-resistance and sensitivity over tradition. Bull Bay is a Florida-based company, rods are tuned for Gulf and Southeast Atlantic inshore conditions. Seven rods split casting and spinning. Three casting models: 6'6" ML, 7' M, and 7' MH (5–17lb range).
Four spinning models: 7' M, 7' MH, 7'6" M, and 7'6" MH (6–17lb). All fast action. The 7'6" spinning models give additional reach for wading or distance casting on open flats. Two casting models carry generic numeric slugs in the data (47215868084477, 47215868117245), these appear to be Shopify variant IDs instead of named model numbers.
Shaded band: the spread of the lineup's 7 models, as percentile rank among same-type rods. Solid line = series median · dashed ring = catalog median.

Model notes
2 of 7 modelsLightest casting option in the series. ML power and 5–10lb line rating put this in finesse inshore territory, small jig heads, light swimbaits, and tight-quarters dock fishing for trout or snook. At 6'6" it handles well in close environments.
Reach-and-power end of the spinning lineup. The 7'6" length combined with MH power suits longer casts from a stationary wade position, heavier jigs for redfish in current, and presentations to fish farther off the boat.
