The 2025 Kage Inshore is Daiwa's independent-tackle-shop exclusive inshore spinning series. It serves coastal anglers chasing redfish, snook, speckled trout, flounder, and similar inshore species. The 'independent dealer' positioning means it's not stocked at big-box retailers, which affects availability but also retailer relationships. Blanks use Daiwa's HVF Nanoplus graphite, high-density graphite with distributed resin binding for a lighter, more rigid blank than standard HVF.
X45 bias weave wraps at 45 degrees to reduce twist and improve casting precision. Reel seat is Daiwa's Air Sensor unit, which contacts the blank directly for improved vibration transfer. Fuji guides with alconite rings throughout. All models are spinning with fast action. Eight models span 7' to 8', all fast action, covering ML through XH power. The two 7' and three 7'6" models handle everyday inshore work in M, MH, and H; the two 8' models (H and XH) are clearly made for heavier inshore serves, tarpon, large snook, or big redfish situations demanding heavier braid and larger lures up to 2 oz.
The XH/XF 8' model is the outlier in an otherwise F-action series.

Unusual: ML power but rated up to 8–17 lb line and 1.5 oz lure, heavier than the M model (3/4 oz top). The fast tip with softer backbone makes this a finesse-presentation rod that can still throw medium-weight rigs for trout on light braid.
Only XH and only XF-action model in the series. Built for large tarpon, heavy snook, or bull redfish scenarios where hook-set speed and raw power matter more than sensitivity. 15–30 lb line rating places it firmly in heavy-braid territory.
