23 Sol

The Daiwa SOL AGS (marketed as the '23 Sol') is a premium inshore spinning series introduced at ICAST 2023. It serves Southeast coastal species, redfish, snook, speckled trout, tarpon, with input from regional guides and independent tackle shops. MSRP is set at $349.99 for all models, positioning it above the Kage Inshore but below Daiwa's top-end tournament-class inshore offerings. The AGS designation indicates Air Guide System, carbon-fiber guide frames instead of metal, which reduces guide weight and increases vibrational sensitivity transmission.

HVF graphite blanks with cork handles throughout. The combination of AGS guides and HVF construction is made for maximizing feel during long wade-fishing or wading sessions where arm fatigue is a factor. Fuji Tangle-Free K-Guides are used to reduce braid wrap-up. Eight models span 7' to 8', all spinning, all fast action, covering ML through XH power. The 7' tier covers ML, M, and MH; the 7'6" tier covers M, MH, and H; the 8' tier jumps to H and XH, designed for bridge fishing, heavy-structure snook, or big tarpon.

The lineup is all spinning; Casting models are included is absent. Power progression is continuous from light finesse trout work to heavy inshore situations.
